Removing a Device

1. For U30 stations, download all the data files for the station because you will not be able to use HOBOlink to access files from that station once it is removed.

For RX3000 and RX2100 stations, export any data (see Exporting Data) you want to keep as you will not be able to use HOBOlink to access data from that station once it is removed.

2. Click Devices and then RX Devices.
3. Click the icon to remove the station. Confirm that you want to remove the station when prompted.

The station is no longer registered to your account and will not automatically connect to HOBOlink anymore. The station can be registered to another account or re-registered on the same account in the future. For RX3000 and RX2100 stations, press the Connect button on the station to connect to HOBOlink once it is re-registered. For U30 stations, once the station is registered again, you can force it to connect to HOBOlink by cycling the power (disconnect the battery and AC adapter or solar panel, wait 20 to 30 seconds and then reconnect the battery first and then the AC adapter or solar panel) or by using the Contact HOBOlink button in the Status window in HOBOware.

1. Click Devices and then RX Devices, and find the station with the mote you want to delete. Click the arrow next to and select Module/Sensor Configuration.
2. Select the mote from the Configuration menu (do not click the measurement type for the mote).
3. Click Delete to remove the mote from the network.

4. If the mote you are deleting is currently active on the network (i.e. powered up and transmitting data), the station will need to connect to HOBOlink to complete the removal process. Otherwise, the mote will not officially leave the network and can attempt to automatically rejoin the network in the future. To connect to HOBOlink, press the Connect button on the station. Once the station is connected, a command is sent to the station and the mote permanently leaves the network.
