Alarm Configuration

There are two types of alarms that can be configured in HOBOlink:

  • System alarms, where an alarm trips if the device misses a connection, the battery is low, or there is a sensor error. For U30 stations, there is also an alarm for low memory.
  • Sensor alarms, where an alarm trips if the sensor or calculated channel reading falls above or below a specific value or outside of a specified range.

Note: Alarms can have a significant impact on the communications data usage for cellular devices. The amount of allocated data available for your communications plan should be considered when configuring alarms.

To set up an alarm, click Devices and then RX Devices, and find the station you want to configure. Click the arrow next to the icon and select Alarm Configuration. On the Alarms page, you can then create, edit, or delete system and sensor alarms and view a list of the latest tripped alarms in the alarm logs.
